Chardham Yatra - Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath are four holy Chardham in Uttarakhand. Yamunotri

Yamunotri is devoted to the goddess Yamuna hence it's called Yamunotri it's believed that a shower within the waters of the Yamuna protects the devotee from untimely death. per annum on the religious holiday of Akshaya Tritiya (which falls between the last week of April and the first week of May), Yamunotri temple opens for the devotees. This is found in Garhwal Himalaya 40km above Barkot and at a height of 3293 meters above water level.

Gangotri

Gangotri is devoted to the goddess Ganga. Consistent with the Hindu culture, Lord Shiva released the mighty river from the locks of his hair. 

Kedarnath

Kedarnath is a Shaiva site and a neighborhood of Panch Kedar which is devoted to Lord Shiva. It is one of the northernmost Jyotirlinga. 

Badrinath

Badrinath yatra is one of the famous Patras from the Chardham yatra. It was established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya within the 8th it's believed that while Lord Vishnu was meditating at this place, Goddess Lakshmi stood next to him and turned herself into a Badri tree to shelter Lord Vishnu from sunlight.
